Shepley Methodist Church
We are a loving and supportive congregation who enjoy regularly welcoming our village community into our building. Our aim is to discover more of God in our lives and to share His love. We are fortunate to have a modern, adaptable church building with a large car park which is well-used by community groups and organisations.
Our Oasis Cafe on Monday and Friday afternoons is a regular meeting place for friends, and our Wednesday morning fitness class ( with refreshments!) has a loyal, appreciative membership. Behind the church we planted an orchard some years ago which provides a peaceful place to sit and an abundance of fruit which we are able to share with the community. Our Sunday morning service at 10.45am is a much-needed ‘space’ in the week for coming together to worship, grow and ‘recharge our batteries’. Our service is always followed by coffee and chat, and fairly regular shared lunches. One Sunday a month – usually the last – we hold a well-attended prayer group which has become a very valued addition to our church life. |
