Sue Burton - Minister
I am a Minister with pastoral responsibility for Holmfirth, Linthwaite, Slaithwaite and Gatehead Methodist churches. Prior to taking up this role I have worked as a dyslexia tutor in Higher Education, Project Manager for a food bank, as a church community worker and a middle-school teacher of French and PE. I am passionate about considering how Biblical stories spoke into the cultural context of their time and how faith speaks into the world in which we live now, into the way we relate to each other and to the earth. I see my role as minister as an enabling one, seeking to help people of all ages to recognise and develop their potential. I have an interest in working alongside people of other denominational and faith backgrounds. In my spare time I enjoy sport, hill-walking, reading and film.
