Gledholt Methodist Church

Picture
"Gathering, growing, going for the glory of God” is central to our church life. We have predominantly modern worship involving audio-visual technology and a worship band. Our church is very much like a family with members of all ages.

The church is involved in supporting the local community, especially those who are isolated or experiencing poverty through our free Wednesday morning ‘Tea & Toast’, Warm Welcome and Fareshare sessions.

We are part of HOPE Huddersfield and Churches Together in Huddersfield Town Centre.

We hold the Kirklees ‘Schools Welcome’ certificate – please get in touch with Rev Sue Pegg, our minister, to organise a visit.

The church is also very committed to a week-long annual evangelistic summer camp for young people aged 11-17 years: www.explorerscamp.org.uk

The church building is used by a variety of organisations throughout the week: choirs (U3A Mixed, Huddersfield Voices & Pennine Singers), Girl Guiding - Rainbows & Brownies, Pennine Academy of Dance, True Talent Theatre, HAS Life Class and Friday White Rose folk dance group as well as being a Greenhead Ward Polling Station for elections.

Sunday Worship is at 10.30 am, with monthly Lego Church (1st Sunday) and activities for all ages plus a time for fellowship over a cuppa afterwards.
