Welcome to our page.
Methodist Women in Britain includes all women connected to the Methodist Church in Britain.  It was launched at the Methodist Conference at Southport in July 2011, bringing together Women's Network and the British Unit of the World Federation of Methodist and Uniting Church Women.
In our Huddersfield Circuit we meet together on a regular basis to share ideas and plan events.  We raise money for world mission and also support the District Presidents serve for a 2 year term. Their fundraising campaigns have included sending mosquito nets to Africa and raising funds for the women of the Dalit Community (the untouchable sect) in India and support for MHA music therapy. Joy Coates, the present District President, has raised funds for 'Reach Out To Malawi', 'Super Spuds for Ethiopia' and currently 'Bicycles for Uganda' with 'All We Can' and our circuit will be supporting the current project going forward.
Our aim is to have a representative of MWiB in every church in the circuit.  If you would like to know more about our events - watch this space.
