This is a very stressful time of year if you work in the shops. Planning for the Christmas season was well underway in August and goods began to arrive in our shops in September.
You may well have noticed that staffing levels are much lower than they used to be as companies seek to maximise their profits and staff are the most expensive resource. So spare a thought for the workers who are doing longer hours over the next few months and who are highly likely to only get one day off over Christmas - Christmas Day!
