Session 1 - What do we mean by Mental Health?
Tuesday 1st November 2016 - 7.30 - 9.15pm @ Huddersfield Mission
  • Table-talk on arrival with prompt cards on the tables to get people talking
  •  Welcome and introduction
  • Briefing on table exercise from Helen Roberts
  • Round table discussion about our experiences, appropriate language and appropriate responses  
  • Talk from Helen Wright, Mental Health Advocate, on “What do we mean by Mental Health?”
  • Video Clip “Mental health in your own words”
  • Contributions from lived experience
  • Round table discussion of ‘what can I do about mental health?’, preparing questions for the next session
  • Brief introduction to next week’s session 

Session 2 - Whose Responsibility is Mental Health?
Tuesday 8th November 2016 - 7.30 - 9.15pm @ Huddersfield Mission
  • Welcome and introduction
  • Three speakers to answer the question from their own viewpoint  
  • Rob Webster, CEO South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust
  • Jo Wolff, Partnerships Sergeant, Kirklees District, West Yorkshire Police
  • Louise Warner, psychotherapist and manager of the WomenCentre in Huddersfield
  • Table-talk to share experience and ideas, leading to  questions and proposals for action
  • Plenary session, with one point from each table and the speakers to respond
  • A dramatic summary from Threadbear Theatre
