This is a video of a guy called Daryl Davis who has regularly sat down with people that don't like him purely on the colour of his skin and became their friends. I think in these times we all need to be a little more like Daryl
This is way of communicating really resonates with me. This is how Jesus would talk to people that were forgotten or outcasts in society. He would also use his character to speak to authority and ultimately converted so many people to this mindset.
The message from me is clear, Daryl and Jesus didn't go into a conversation wanting to change someone's mind, they didn't want to 'convert' them, they wanted to know them, and wanted what was best for them. That means that the something in that individuals world that was unexplainable, that might be that skin colour doesn't matter, or that someone cares for you, or that what you are doing is wrong, simply whatever that thing is, whatever the block in that persons head, it changes slowly from unexplainable to them to being undeniable that it could have ever be true.
Be more like Daryl and Jesus turn peoples worlds around, not by trying to get people to change to who you want them to be, but who they are supposed to be. Then that thing they can't see, that is unexplainable to them becomes undeniable to them, that how you disagree with people, that is how you form relationships with people and that how people become the people they are supposed to be.
